| REFORMED boyband Blue and the sexy Sugababes put in sizzling performances at a sun-scorched Midland pop festival yesterday.
Thousands of revellers basked in glorious sunshine at the sell-out event held in the gardens of beautiful Tamworth Castle in Staffordshire.
A packed 11-hour show featured 14 acts, including the recently re-reunited boys of Blue and Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity.
Chart-toppers Blue, featuring Birmingham’s Simon Webbe, headlined the festival and set hearts racing as they sang a string of their hits in a 45 minute set.
After four years apart, Simon and fellow hunky band members Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Antony Costa now plan a Best of Blue tour from December.
Sexy Sugababes Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah also entertained the high-energy crowd with their mix of upbeat and soulful tunes.
The saucy trio were in good voice, proving why they have recently been named the UK’s most successful female act of the 21st Century.
But it was Diversity who really brought the stage alive, showing some of the incredible moves that won them the top prize on the TV show.
X Factor finalists JLS treated their fans to a rendition of former number one song, Beat Again, as well as tunes from their new album.
And fellow contestants from last year’s programme, Eoghan Quigg, Rachel Hylton and Laura White, were also on the packed bill.
Meanwhile, Too Sexy Right Said Fred represented the old school artists – and proved they still had what it takes to please an audience.
The family-friendly festival was organised by Birmingham-based radio station BRMB and the Just 1 Life charity, which helps to raise money for premature babies in neo-natal units across the country.
